Green Lantern Movie: Sequel?

No matter what, I hope Warner Bros/DC Comics goes forward with a Green Lantern sequel and more. The last thing we need is another reboot down the road.

GameStop, Inc.

If you had seen the Parallax toy early on, as it was displayed in stores ahead of the movie premiere, you could almost tell that things weren't going to go smoothly. Having a villain that resembled orange-yellowish plastic vomit in it's toy form was just a bad idea. I don't know how the Parallax toy idea got past the marketing department heads but it wasn't something that kids probably yearned to play with. The Green Lantern Corps (GLC) figures maybe but doubtful on Parallax. Is this the kind of toy you want to market to the mass audience who are experiencing all this for the first time? The Hector Hammond figure would've been more suffice to release first.

The Carol Ferris storyline
I would keep Ryan Reynolds in the lead but he wasn't the consensus first choice. Also, have more plausible villains such as the Manhunters, Mongul or even Star Sapphire (Carol Ferris) appear in the sequels. We've already covered this topic in our previous post here.  They should definitely flesh out the Thaal Sinestro turncoat storyline or even the recent storyline involving Hal Jordan's lovelife involving Carol Ferris. Perhaps have the GLC battle the Sinestro Corps in the third and final film. Yes, I'm suggesting Warners and DC could drag this movie towards a trilogy but it has to be done right. No more overblown CGI and just stick to the basics like Marvel does.

DC Comics and Warners have had a mediore run ("Watchmen", "Jonah Hex", etc.) at the big screen with their characters. Let's not throw in the towel so fast. You've already established the character at the box office and mainstream culture. Now let's just see how far he can fly.
