Transformers Generations Toys

We weren't thrilled with the current Transformers movie tie-in action figures. Luckily there's an alternative.

Star Wars Old Republic GameStop, Inc.

The insect-looking faces of the Transformers robots from the recent movies didn't really appeal to us but we still like the Dark of The Moon collection. Like Optimus Prime, maybe the robots' mouths should have just been covered up instead! Furthermore, the Arcee figure from the Dark of The Moon line, was just done awfully!

Thundercracker and Wheeljack
Thanks to Hasbro though, we have Transformers Generations toys to turn to instead. Resembling some of the original figures from the Generation One lineup, Hasbro's retro-style Transformers Generations vehicles and figures brings back those old memories from watching the classic series. Only a few toys have been released so far, characters such as Dirge, Thundercracker, Sergeant Kup, Wheeljack and the Cybertronian versions of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. We surmise that the release of the Cybertronian toys are meant not to compete with the current line.

Together again after so many years
It seemed as if the current crop of the movie action figures were inspired or molded by the Gundam series of giant robots. Maybe it was Hasbro's or General Motors' action to move away from the classic toys but we like the boxy look of the previous generation of figures. We're thrilled with Hasbro's decision to release this alternative line of toys. A new generation of fans will once again be able to experience the classic toys.
