Star Wars on iTunes

2011 is turning out to be a great year for Star Wars fans everywhere. There is just so much happening for everyone's favorite franchise. The Star Wars Miniland area premiered at LEGOLAND California, the movies will be released on a special edition Blu-ray disc package in September (for North America) and then a special XBox 360 Kinect gaming system will premiere later this year. Everything sounds wonderful so far right?

Has anyone else noticed that all the movies aren't available on iTunes yet? The Clone Wars series yes but none of the six films are available for download on iTunes. We're still puzzled considering Lucasfilm and Apple have been cozy during the past years. You'll recall Lucasfilm debuted the "Phantom Menace" via Quicktime when the movie first came out. We hope to see the films become available for download soon even if it's in 720p format.

Additionally, will we ever see a sequel to one of the best Star Wars games, Star Wars Battlefront II, ever? Perhaps, the third installment of the awesome series will feature new modes and more playable areas ala the Clone Wars series. The playable Jedi Knights in Battlefront II was icing on the cake!

C'mon Lucasfilm, let's get rolling!
