Like many iPhone enthusiasts, it’s a bittersweet time for us. Rumors of the new iPhone model launching soon gets us all tingly and giddy with excitement as well. An increased spec bump with the internal rear camera, up to 8 megapixels, then a processor upgrade and hardware changes similar to a mini-iPad have us anticipating the new look. Although I should reiterate that these are simple rumors and nothing has been substantiated yet.


What I won’t miss about the current iPhone 4 is the glass back. This hardware change limited many users to not utilize slider cases. If dirt or other fragments happened to sneak in, you could end up with a scratched back. Of course, I’m not too fond of plastic cases anyway. The molded rubber cases that I use are sufficient enough for protection.

Ever made a call on iPhone without any case at all? Then you’ll understand how sharp the edges of the iPhone 4 were despite the rounded feature. I normally use headphones or activate the speakerphone button, but once you placed that phone on your ear, you could feel the sharp edges digging in!

Despite all of this, the flat sides of the phone provided many instances of use when it came to taking photographs or video. Whatever the new phone will look like, fans like me are eagerly waiting for it. See you in line!
