All-Star Western: Time Travel and Jonah Hex

Jonah Hex does a bit of time travel in upcoming issues of All-Star Western. That's not the first time the scarred bounty hunter has visited the future though.

[SPOILERS]

The details of Jonah Hex's upcoming travel through time was revealed in a solicitation for the All-Star Western series (issue 21 below). Hex will appear in the 21st century through some unknowns means but probably ties in to Booster Gold's appearance in issue 19 or perhaps his nemesis in Gotham City: Vandal Savage.  In issue 17, Vandal Savage is revealed to be the mastermind behind the calamity beseiging Gotham City and it's citizens. Catherine Wayne also factors in this storyline as time travel has been a big theme in the All-Star Western series as of late:

Hex's first trip through time occurred during the 1980s series "Hex". The gunslinger was mysteriously transported to the world of the 21st century. This "Hex" series followed the cancellation of the long running series "Jonah Hex" and had a brief run, lasting only 18 issues. The world Hex found himself in was a Mad Max-type of future as written by noted Jonah Hex author, Michael Fleisher. Hex met new foes and allies, including interactions with the 21st century Batman (who uses a vehicle called the "Batwing") and the Legion of Super-Heroes. After the cancellation of "Hex", it would take nearly a decade for the character to be revived in comics again.

Nothing has been revealed yet of this upcoming New 52 storyline. Perhaps Hex might meet the current hero of Gotham City in this timeline? We'll see.
