While the HP TouchPad may be a hot item on Amazon, my advice is to avoid products like these.
When HP made huge news recently that it was shedding it's PC business, to focus more attention instead on software products, their tablet the TouchPad, was one product that was heavily affected by such strategy moves. Running on webOS, the tablet failed to make a dent with consumers despite being equipped with Flash support. If you're lucky you can grab the 16 GB or 32 GB versions at most retailers.
My concern when purchasing discontinued products, is the obvious lack of support down the road. What if your screen goes bad or some other problem occurs, will you still be able to get your TouchPad fixed? Software-wise, the same situation can occur when HP stops supporting this product entirely. If you actually have $100 lying around, then keep saving $100 every month until you can afford the only tablet that matters. We will all know what that is.
