A classic comics rivalry was showcased on the small screen when Daredevil and The Punisher collided in Season 2 of Daredevil.
As the promotional artwork suggested, Frank Castle aka The Punisher and Matt Murdock aka Daredevil, weren't on friendly terms when they first encountered one another in Season 2 on Netflix. In their early comic book confrontations, both had their own way of handing out street justice, with The Punisher choosing the violent and more deadly option. Daredevil was there to stop him at every angle.

Frank Miller was the mastermind behind their most memorable meeting, in a story dealing with illegal drugs. The brief but powerful saga tackled the rise of the narcotics trade and use during the height of America's war on the drugs, during the 1980s. Both characters went their separate ways and adventures and The Punisher would have a resurgence among fans. It wasn't until writer Mike Baron (who launched the first ever Punisher comics series) and artist Whilce Portacio, had these two collide again in the late 1980s. Baron's brief story dealt with a similar theme involving drugs but in a completely different setting and premise.
The Daredevil creative team didn't disappoint fans when Castle and Murdock's upcoming and long-awaited encounter on television was finally. Despite Frank Castle wasn't truly in his Punisher alter ego yet, who knows what to expect, when their on-screen meeting happens!
