Mac App Store Games

The Mac App Store informs you if your system can run a particular game. However, it's best to read the full description before downloading. Here's how to check if the latest game will run on your particular setup.

As avid gamers as we are, it would be nice to play all the latest games on our Apple computers. Sadly, some owners will receive a painful message telling them that their system is out of date and won't be able to download a game. While it would be great if we all had the same current Apple laptop or desktop of the moment, the sad reality is that we all own older systems that just won't run the latest games.

The Mac App Store will inform you if the game you want will be able to run. In our example, we choose two different games: LEGO Batman and Eternal Legacy. You can probably guess which game will not run right?

LEGO Batman
Eternal Legacy
The above game download screens gives you all the details. Right below each game title at the top left of the screen, a message will indicate if your system has the required system specifications to play the game. While our system can run LEGO Batman just fine without the message, the warning on the download screen for Eternal Legacy informs us to check our system first.

iTunes, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store

This a great way for the App Store to warn users about which game they can play. Furthermore, users should also check if the game they are approved to download will run effectively.  It would be wise to choose a game with enough room for CPU processing and memory clearance. Read the full game description and requirements. Additionally, it would be appreciated if there was filter available to screen these games and even apps.
