The threat of Morlun to all persons or beings collectively tied to the Spider-Man persona, brings them together in this special event featuring the web-slinger. Gwen Stacy herself plays a part in all of this, in her own unique way
Marvel has unveiled artwork by Robbi Rodriguez featuring Gwen Stacy in the heroic role as Spider-Woman set in an alternate universe. Edge of Spider-Verse issue 2 features Gwen Stacy and writer Jason Latour notes that "Spider-Woman is wanted for a crime she didn’t commit. So where as her life in costume before was a lot of adventuring and fun, she’s now being forced to decide what it means to her." Moreover Gwen's father just happens to be a police chief, putting her vigilante activities at a crossroads.
