Venom Cosplay Face Paint

Our Twitter friend Jackie showed us this incredible cosplay face paint of the Marvel Comics character and one-time Spiderman nemesis, Venom. The character of course has it origins as an alien-symbiote costume, once worn by Peter Parker. The costume would simply "attach" itself to Parker when needed, as what is exactly being done to this model. Stunning to say the least!

Review: Amazing Spiderman Issue 687

Under the mind control of Dr. Octopus, The Avengers are ready to stop Spiderman from undermining Octopus' plan to eradicate the planet. Who will survive this final confrontation?

The epic miniseries within a series, "Ends of The Earth" by writer Dan Slott, reaches it's sense-shattering conclusion. We've seen Spiderman pushed to the limits in trying to stop Doctor Octopus' plan and at the same time, convince the world, that the villain is up to no good at all.

The variant covers by Gabrielle Dell'Otto, featured throughout our reviews, have been absolutely delicious! The various artists from Humberto Ramos to Stefano Caselli have done a bang up job! The dying Doctor Octopus, seemingly thwarted by Spiderman and his global comrades, has one final card up his sleeve though and that's the Avengers who are under his control.  With Sable, Black Widow and an unlikely ally in Mysterio, the team handily take down Earth's Mightiest Heroes with Mysterio's help.

Ends of The Earth Part 4

Battling the Sandman in the previous issue seemed like an easy feat for Spiderman and his new teammates Silver Sable and The Black Widow. Can they stop another member of The Sinister Six and ultimately defeat Doctor Octopus and his mad scheme?

After taking down The Sandman in their quest to destroy Doctor Octopus' installations worldwide, the team of Spiderman, Black Widow and Silver Sable battle The Rhino in North Korea at one of Doc Ock's missle sites. Spiderman scolds Silver Sable for not ensuring the safety of innocent lives during the conflict. The battle is furious indeed but is soon interrupted by S.H.I.E.L.D. forces, before any more harm can come to the local military and civilians.

Spiderman is quickly dismayed when he finds out that the organization isn't on his side of things.

With the Avengers being soundly defeated by the Sinister Six, does Spiderman still have a chance to defeat Doctor Octopus' mad plan? Who else can help the wallcrawler save the world?

Ends of The Earth Part 3

The striking variant cover by Gabrielle Dell'Otto should simply be called "Enter Sandman" instead, as we find our hero on his own, with the Avengers down and defeated in the previous issue. However, just as Doc Ock is about to celebrate the fall of Earth's Mightiest Heroes by the Sinister Six, Spiderman is hastily spirited from the battlefield by none other than Silver Sable. 

Together with the rescued Black Widow, the three stand alone to stop Doc Ock's continued to conquer the Earth.  Furthermore, Doc Ock continues with his threats against the world governments, as he demands payment for finding a solution to the common problem of global warming.

Ends of the Earth part 1

A gift for humanity’s future or something far more sinister – what is Doctor Octopus up to? Spiderman’s nemesis Doc Ock stirs up trouble on a global scale with his latest scheme.  With the help of the Sinister Six, does Spiderman stand a chance?

The tragic origin of Dr. Otto Octavius, a nuclear physicist, is captured in the second installment of the original Spiderman movie trilogy.  As you may recall, a horrible accident during one of his experiments causes the fusion of the robotic arms/tentacles to his body.  Having brilliant minds between the both of them, it’s hard not to see the similarities between Spiderman and Doc Ock. 

What separates them of course is the use of their newfound abilities either for good or for evil. It alls boil down to the choices we make in life.  Writer Dan Slott touches upon this element briefly in this issue, as Peter Parker uses his intellect for the benefit and betterment of humanity and simply beyond just taking pictures, with his job at Horizon Labs.  You’ll see the many devices and technologies he’s developed being used which is a sharp contrast to the life and criminal activities of Doc Ock. 

Spider-Men

Marvel Comics has unveiled the second image promotion for the upcoming "Spider-Men" limited series event by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli in June 2012. Will two different Spider-Men from separate universes finally meet? It's definitely turning out to be Spider-Man's year as well. Stay tuned.

Amazing Spiderman Website

Sony Columbia Pictures has updated the official website for the Amazing Spiderman movie. Interestingly, at the bottom of the website entrance it says The Untold Story. The website does provide a tremendous amount of details for the upcoming movie and PLANNED sequels. This information is all revealed once you click the Story section. Additionally, there are other sections such as Characters and Gallery that also detail much of the upcoming movie. It's already a known fact based on the comic-books, that the character Curt Connors (played by Rhys Ifans) will eventually become the Lizard, another villain from Spiderman's rogues gallery, and face-off against Spiderman.

The movie's premise and focus, which opens on July 3, 2012, appears to be Peter Parker's early teenage years. None of the images reflect any of his days at the Daily Bugle. Actress Sally Field plays (a much younger) aunt May Parker and Martin Sheen plays uncle Ben Parker. Making their first appearance outside of the Marvel comic-books on the big screen, will be Gwen Stacy portrayed by Emma Stone and and her father captain Stacy played by Dennis Leary. It's assumed that as the sequels progress so will Peter Parker's life, career and adventures as Spiderman.
